Michael Harding Balsam Resin glaze medium is an historic painting medium that is based on Austrian Larch Turpentine (Otherwise known as Venice Turpentine). This is fused with dammar resin and linseed stand oil to create a medium which, when added to colour, enhances the depth, gloss and lustre of the oil paint. Michael Harding oil paint mediums have been developed to enhance and facilitate the effects of known oil paint techniques. Throughout history painters have always manipulated paint in search of the perfect paint film and finish. Michael Harding Oil Mediums are fully compatible with Michael Harding oil paints and can guarantee long-term stability.
